At its lowest ever, but the drop has lasted 97 days
Out of 20 events observed, the price really dropped 5 times, by about 21.2 % on average. In 2 cases, the price had climbed about 25.5 % in the two weeks before.
The current price of $299.99 matches the lowest point recorded in the past 365 days, a level reached only twice before. It represents a 37% savings against the $479 typical price, compared to a yearly peak of $517.99.
This drop has now lasted 97 days, far beyond the 15-day median duration usually seen for this kind of low. The price still moves often, changing on average every 6 days, meaning an increase remains possible even after such an extended stretch at the floor.
Since this floor price has never held for more than 15 days total in the past, a mark already well exceeded here, now looks like a reasonable time to buy rather than wait. Historically, drops below $479 recur roughly every 24 days, but there's no guarantee prices will return this low if they rise soon.
